USE OF LOCATION INFORMATION IN BEECY
When you register with Beecy, your device will prompt you to grant permission to share your location information. This may include data obtained through GPS, Bluetooth signals, nearby Wi-Fi, and other device sensors.
By default, the app requests permission to access your “precise location while using the app” to provide the core proximity-based experience.
What Do We Use Your Location For?
- To display posts and users near you in real time.
- To enable the Online Mode feature, where you choose to appear visible in your area.
- To suggest interactions or activities based on your current location.
- To enhance safety and validate that interactions occur within allowed zones.
- To provide targeted ads and promoted posts based on selected geographic areas.
- To analyze usage patterns and improve app performance.
Location Settings Options
For iOS Devices
- Always: We can collect your location at any time, even when the app is not active.
- While Using the App: We can collect your location when the app is visible on screen or active.
- Never: Beecy’s access to location will be disabled. You may enter your location manually.
- Precise Location: Disabling this requires you to specify your area manually.
For Android Devices
- While Using the App: We can collect your location during active use or Online Mode.
- Only This Time: Location is enabled for one session only.
- Deny: You must manually enter your location; core features will be limited.
- Approximate Location: Suggested content may be less accurate.
You can manage these permissions in your device’s location settings under the Beecy app’s specific configuration.
Sharing with Authorities and Third Parties
In some cases, Beecy may share geolocation data and timestamps with local authorities or legal entities to:
- Comply with regulatory obligations or legal requests.
- Prevent fraud or investigate security incidents.
- Protect the safety and integrity of users and the platform.
These data do not include your direct identifiers, unless required by law.
Processing and Protection of Location Data
We process your location data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, applying security measures to protect it from unauthorized access or misuse.
You can review and modify your privacy and location preferences in the Privacy menu within the app.
